| Customer Reviews: D402 Harley Davidson - Excellent Tire August 13, 2010 hdsoftail5 I am on my 3rd rear tire and only my 2nd front tire and I currently have 40,000+ miles on my '03 Road King Classic. I got 16,000 on each of my rear tires and currently only have 8,000 on my current rear tire and I have gotten 20,000 on the 2 front tires (getting ready to change out the front here soon). They are an excellent wearing tire and haven't had a problem with them. The mileage I've been getting is not because I push the limits on the tire tread, this is based on the wear indicators on the tire. I am not an agressive rider and definately do not do burnouts (that kind of fun can be reserved for the crotch rockets) but I do put a lot of back road miles on the bike and am very pleased with the performance.
Good but not Great April 24, 2010 John Howver (Whitewright, Texas United States) This will be the third set of Dunlop D402's on my Harley Davidson FLHTCI touring bike. I only gave them a three due to the rate of wear, on my motorcycle the average life of this tire is 6,000 miles, at one point I used a set of Dunlop K491's which performed just as well but lasted twice the mileage 12,000 but Dunlop has discontinued this tire, all in all the D402 handles the road and all weather conditions very well.
