70P is a small but powerful portable compressor kit that is capable of inflating up to 25-Inch and smaller tires easily by simply plugging into your cigarette lighter power port, connecting to a valve stem and turning the unit on. Tire pressure can be monitored using the gauge mounted on top of the unit.
70P Amp Draw Warning:
Most automotive cigarette lighter/power ports handle up to 15 amps. Some vehicles power ports may have even lower amp ratings. Before purchasing and using this unit, inspect the amp draw limitations of your vehicle power port. The 70P Portable Air Compressor requires a power port rated for 15 amps. Never replace fuses of higher amp rating beyond the original rating of the circuit. Consult your vehicle manual for further details. You must turn on your vehicle when you are running the air compressor.

Good small 12VDC Compressor March 13, 2010 WryCoder (Ipswich, MA USA) I bought this product via Amazon and have been using it for a month. For a small compressor, it pumps quite quickly and stays reasonably cool, considering the heat generated compressing air.
I bought a Roadpro 12V Battery Clip-On and Cigarette Lighter Adapter to use with it - that eliminates any current limits on the "cigarette" lighter circuit and gives a few extra feet of reach when airing up other vehicles. It would also work with ATVs and other vehicles lacking a cigarette lighter socket.
It is remarkably quiet compared to others I've used. There is a power switch on the end next to the cord - this isn't mentioned in the description, and is very handy. Naturally, when the pump is running, the gauge reads a couple of pounds high because of the pressure drop in the hose. Just switch it off and use the reading when it's not running. I find it still reads two pounds high, so I just put in two extra psi to compensate.
I noticed a couple of comments about losing air when removing the screw on fitting. Assuming you unscrew it reasonably quickly, that's simply not an issue with a car tire, since the air loss is slight. Maybe it would be a problem if you were pumping a 100 psi tire on a road bicycle; I haven't tried that yet. But again, one can easily compensate. I like the screw on fitting better than I thought I would, compared to the clip on fittings on my previous units.
Just as the reviews said! March 13, 2010 D. Kirts (Germany) The product arrive in a timely manner. The bag keeps all the parts together, the compressor is well made and operates well just as most people stated. I have not used it extensively, however, I would by another if required.
Seems well made March 13, 2010 Andrew (Batesville, AR USA) This compressor seems well constructed, though unfortunately it is made in China. It is fairly compact, and surprisingly heavy. The air fitting seems well made and the hose is soft and flexible, with spring strain reliefs at each end. The carry bag could use a pocket for the accessory nozzles, but that is nitpicking. It is a great addition to an emergency kit.
seems okay March 12, 2010 Charles R. Bloom (Seattle, WA United States) It only ran for 30 seconds before it blew the fuse on my car's DC 12V port. Seems pretty strong, but this thing sucks a lot of power. Also beware : it won't work with cheap AC to DC converters either because they don't provide enough amps. So now I'm buying a heavy duty AC to 12V DC converter and hopefully that works...
NO REGRETS March 11, 2010 J. ROMAN This my third air compressor and it looks like my last for some time. The first two brands were a victor air compressor and a slime brand which was the worse from the two is was made cheap made of plastic and vibrates like and old drier, the victor was slighty better than the slime but canot copare to the viair power or the materias is made of don't let the small size full you.I will definitely buy from sellers again.
