This thing works!! September 2, 2010 danial54 (Ocoee, Florida) I was skeptical at first and got the product anyway, after watching the infomercial. I didn't have any preconceived notions about its ability. When I got this product, I primed it as was instructed. I have several scuff type scratched on my 02 Dodge truck. You don't use this on a scratch that you could catch you fingernail on. That is very important. I applied the product as was instructed and was utterly amazed with the results. I HIGHLY recommend this for this type of use and will ALWAYS have this product handy.
PLEASE remember.....no scratch that you can catch your fingernail on. But that impossible to make go away scuff/scratch...it really works.
WHAT A WASTE August 29, 2010 Nazrettdotcom (USA) THIS IS NOT ABOUT SELLERS BUT THE PRODUCT.
I ordered this item last night on amazon, this morning when I step in to one of the local auto part store there it was, I picked up and try it on very minor scratch and larger scratches on my car unfortunately no change on scratched surface this junk must be recalled and people should STOP buying it, it is waste of your money and time, that stupid advertiser definitely has big mouth with his funny British accent he does advertise all the junks on TV that should not fool American consumers, we suffer to make money but waste on this kind of worthless trash materials. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I GIVE IT 0 STAR
Don't read too much into the TV ad August 17, 2010 rcholewi@yahoo.com (Lawrenceville, NJ USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a clear-coat scratch repair pen, not a paint scratch repair pen. If your scratches are superficial (not to the bare metal, like some of the reviews describe) the Clear Coat Scratch Repair Pen will make the white clear coat scratch disappear - visually. With careful side-viewing, you will still see the material slightly above the undamaged material (as one reviewer describes - like clear nail polish)since your scratch is likely thinner than the pen tip. BUT, the white scratch (at least on my dark green paint) is no longer visible with cursory examination. Do not push on the pen tip while you're repairing the scratch or you will release more material than you need - just use it like a Sharpie. Some have complained about drips - I did my whole 10-year old car with maybe 2-3 feet of scratches and chips, total. Didn't have a single drip. To repeat, if the scratch has removed the paint layer, this Clear Coat Scratch Repair Pen won't fix it... Finally, I touched a repair with my palm before it cured and then put my hand on the hood - the material wiped off completely with dry soft-cloth scrubbing (I didn't give it time to cure - don't know what it would have been like to remove if it did...)
Works Great! August 17, 2010 L. Kalberer I bought a car on a Sunday & went to visit relatives in it the following Thursday at their summer house in a woodsy area. I was very upset to see we had gotten a few light scratches along the sides of the car. One was very long - probably from a branch. My brother-in-law came out with one of these pens and I saw him & my husband doing something to the car. When I came out to look, all the scratches were gone. I could not even see where they had been. Wow! My blood pressure when back down to normal for the rest of the trip. Those bad reviews must be from people who tried to use it on really deep scratches that need a professional. I'm online now looking to buy some & came across the reviews so I thought I'd put in my two cents.
Not what it's cracked up to be... August 1, 2010 Don (Sandy, Utah) The TV commercial leads you to believe this is an easy scratch fix. However, it is quite difficult to use.
First, after you apply it to the scratch it appears to make the scratch disappear just as they show on TV.
Then it begins to RUN. When you dab it, it smears. Then it takes a day or so in the sun for the product to harden.
But it hardens with the drips and smears. I can't recommend this product unless you are a pro who can apply it correctly.
Even then I'm not sure it would work right. Better off taking your scratch to a body shop. This is the second "as seen on TV" product that I have been disappointed with.
